Color Palette Generator

The Color Palette Generator is a color palette generator and color scheme builder that creates a harmonious five-color palette from any base color using classic color-theory schemes: monochromatic, analogous, complementary, triadic, tetradic and shades. Pick a base color, choose a scheme, and get five swatches derived from that color's position on the hue wheel — click any swatch to copy its hex code, or copy the whole palette at once.

Because each scheme is computed mathematically from hue, saturation and lightness relationships — analogous swatches sit near each other on the wheel, complementary swatches sit opposite, triadic swatches are spaced 120° apart — the resulting palette stays balanced no matter which base color you start from, unlike eyeballing color combinations by hand. Monochromatic and shades schemes vary only lightness around one hue for a calm, cohesive feel; complementary and triadic schemes introduce real hue contrast for palettes that need visual punch.
