Click Speed Test (CPS)

The Click Speed Test measures how many clicks per second (CPS) you can sustain over a duration you choose — 5, 10, 15 or 60 seconds. Pick a duration, click the target box to start, and click as fast as possible until the timer runs out; your click count, remaining time and live CPS all update instantly, and your best score for each duration is remembered so you can chase a personal record. It doubles as a cps test for gamers benchmarking their APM, a clicks per second test for comparing clicking techniques, and a quick mouse click test to see how fast your current mouse can register inputs.

CPS is simply total clicks divided by the test duration in seconds. Short 5-second tests tend to produce the highest CPS numbers because they capture a brief burst before hand fatigue sets in, while a 60-second test measures sustained clicking speed and stamina — a very different skill. Comparing your 5-second and 60-second scores side by side is itself informative: a big gap usually means good burst speed but poor endurance, or vice versa.

This kind of test is popular for a few overlapping reasons. Competitive gamers — especially in click-intensive genres like clicker games, certain FPS titles and rhythm games — use it to benchmark and train raw clicking speed; people curious whether "jitter clicking" or "butterfly clicking" techniques actually help use it to A/B test their own technique numerically; and plenty of people just use it casually to compete with friends over a screenshot. Because best scores persist per duration in your browser, you can leave and come back later to try to beat your own record without needing an account.
