Wheel Spinner / Random Name Picker

The Wheel Spinner turns any list you type in — names, options, prizes, decisions — into a colorful spinning wheel that lands on one random entry per spin. Edit the entry list (one item per line), click Spin, and watch the wheel accelerate through a multi-second animation before settling on a winner, with an optional "remove winner after each spin" mode for running a full elimination draw. It works as a random name picker for raffles and classrooms, a quick way to spin the wheel when you can't agree on a choice, and a random picker wheel for giveaways — one tool, any list.

Under the hood, the winner is picked first with a uniform random draw across all current entries, and the wheel's rotation animation is then calculated to land precisely on that entry — so the visual spin is purely presentational, not the actual randomization mechanism (unlike a physical wheel, there's no risk of the animation "cheating" toward a particular segment). Every entry has exactly an equal 1-in-N chance of being picked, regardless of segment size or position on the wheel.

It's built for anything that needs a fun, visible way to make a random pick from a custom list: picking a raffle or giveaway winner, randomly selecting a student to call on, deciding what to have for dinner from a shortlist, assigning teams or turn order, or running a full-list elimination draw (with "remove winner" on) down to a single remaining entry. Because the entry list is saved in your browser between visits, you don't need to retype a recurring list — like a classroom roster or a team's rotating chore list — every time.
